WHAT IS KIDSTALK?
KidsTalk is an empowerment and skills development program for children (ages 7 – 17) to teach them how to create and perform presentations, KidsTalks, that inspire, empower and, enlighten the world.

THE CURRICULUM
“Advocates of citizenship education cross the political spectrum, but they are bound by a common belief that our Democratic Republic will not sustain unless students are aware of the changing cultural and physical environments; know the past; read, write, and think deeply; and act in ways that promote the common good.”
- C3 Framework

The KidsTalk curriculum delivers on key components from The College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards: Guidance for Enhancing the Rigor of K-12 Civics, Economics, Geography, and History, which was developed in collaboration by fifteen professional organizations including the American Bar Association, the National Council for Social Science, and the National Geographic Society.
The KidsTalk curriculum utilizes methodology and instructional tools that specifically align with the top strategies for English language learners. Additionally, the tools are scaled to take into account the age of the children.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
KidsTalk begins by initially asking the child to identify a social issue about which they are passionate.
After receiving guidance and instruction from both teachers as well as educational and inspirational thought leaders in their communities, the child develops the structure of their talk with in-depth quantitative and qualitative research.
The child will work with teachers, peers, and family members to hone their calls to action and rehearse their talk before the big performance.
